cancerresearch

The body is made up of different types of cells that in turn are grouped into different tissues and organs. There are more than 200 different types of body cells.  Cancer is a disease caused by the changing of these normal cells in an uncontrolled way, thus forming a lump, which, if not treated medically, will spread into adjacent normal cells or apply pressure on other body structures. Cancer research is all about identifying what causes cancer and working out ways and means for the diagnosis, treatment, cure and prevention of this deadly disease.

There are various non-governmental organizations and government-controlled bodies taking part in very extensive cancer research studies all over the world today. These organizations expend very large amounts of money yearly on such studies. Generally, such studies range from epidemiology, molecular bioscience to the conducting of clinical tests of various therapy procedures.  Nevertheless, since nineteen nineties, the attention of these studies has been focused on gene therapy and immunotherapy.

Such NGO’s as Cancer Research UK and American Institute for Cancer research (AIR) have been granting funds to thousands of doctors, scientists and other research fellows in cancer research.  Their studies encompasses nearly every field of cancer related topics via widespread programs of top-notch studies in universities, hospices and other institutions world-wide.

More and more promising researchers, students, and scientists are joining in cancer research work in order to fight this deadly disease that afflicts millions of patients globally.. The would-be scholars of cancer research may keep in mind that they have access to really informative and instructive research findings and resources from the Internet.  If, at the same time, they are in search of various fellowships and research grants to conduct cancer research studies for the benefit of the vast numbers of cancer patients all over the globe, they will find the Internet a valuable source of information regarding institutions that award such grants and assistance.

Concerned people, be it patients or scholars, want to keep abreast of the most recent information on new types of treatment of cancer. Internet does have everything. However, it is always useful to corroborate this evidence of the latest from many sources before accepting a single research paper.  Please make note, cancer research is not a stagnant procedure.
