dial soap

One of America’s classic cleaning brand names, Dial soap is produced by Dial Corporation located in Scottsdale, Arizona. The first time this soap brand started being produced, it was manufactured by the Armour and Company as early as 1888. Even if in its present-day format the company produces other cleaning products, Dial soap still represents a major brand and the element that created a name for the business. Tallow and other meat-by-products were the initial primary matter for the production of the soap, and the name came from the promotion of the Dial soap as a 24h protection against perspiration.

In fact, Dial soap represents the first American deodorant antibacterial soap ever produced in the United States. Since the soap proved extremely effective, the market success was not late to appear. Moreover, anyone could recognize the clover-like scent of this deodorant that had nothing to do with the medicinal fragrance of other similar products. In time Dial soap diversity increased considerably with an expanded range of products that included shaving creams and deodorants. The thing is that in the 50s, Dial soap was the best sold product in its category at the national scale.

Because of the activity diversification of the company, the profits became rather erratic and it was only after the purchase of Dial Corporation by Henkel in 2004 that the shift got back to laundry products and personal care items. This equaled a new re-invention of the Dial soap on the market coinciding with its launch in Europe. The collection that Dial products are now part of are a lot more competitive and comprehensive given the increasing demand and the wider needs of modern users. If in the 50s the soap was the deodorant one could rely on, now we use soap and deodorants as distinct body care items.

Thus, the diversity of Dial soap variants is incredible, and the choice options cover essential tropical oils, exfoliating beads, spa minerals, white tea, mountain scent, aloe, spring water, vitamin E and lots of others. Each Dial soap variant targets a specific user segment: thus, aloe and vitamin E are great for sensitive skin, essential oils for revitalizing tissues while spa minerals remove toxins and dead skin cells. Some people only choose Dial soap because they enjoy one fragrance or another, but regardless the variant, quality remains the common feature of the entire collection.
