election polls
When trying to come up with a proper definition for the word ‘polls’ I came up with quite a variety. It can mean a range of things, from the casting and registering of votes in an election to the place where votes are cast and registered, and many more. Election polls are the most popular of these polls, and after all who is to blame?. We are a world run by what the ‘polls’ say, and election polls are no different. Nowadays we find radio channels, TV channels, newspapers and magazines all trying to predict who the next president will be through these polls.
Influencing the undecided voters is something that hapopens due to these kind of election polls. And this can be a highly influential factor indeed. After all trying to decide who to elect is not an easy thing, and knwoing more people like one certain candidate can be a big deciding factor.Candidates can also be very influenced by these election polls.Knowing what the people think of you based on these polls can be either very encouragin to a candidate or doscouraging, depending on what the poll has to say.Sometimes the election polls turn out to be more of a popularity contest than an actual test of if the candidate’s views are being supported by the public or not.Charisma has a lot to do with election polls at the initial stages as well.As shallow as it may sound, the public like to see that the person they are going to elect looks the part!. Election polls can also be a temporary thing with one person leading the other at every alternate week. For this reason the results of election polls are not taken too seriously by many, but the influence it can have on people cannot be neglected.
Although sometimes inaccurate, and although not the best thing to happen in an election, election polls can certainly get the debators started, and so it does make the election a more interesting thing indeed!
